The Guild of the Knoxville Museum of Art invites you to our April 13th program at the Hunter Museum of American Art, in Chattanooga for a private tour given by their chief curator, Nandini Makrandi, of their current exhibition entitled, “Our America: The Latino Presence in American Art”. This exhibition features the works of 70 Latino artists over the past 60 years. Drawn entirely from the collection of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, this exhibition showcases artists of Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban and Dominican descent as well as other Latin American groups with deep roots in the United States. This tour will last approximately one hour. You will then have time to tour the permanent collections and the Museum Store.
